This website processes as little personal data as possible. There are no accounts, no tracking, no advertising cookies, no analytics tools. This statement describes the minimal data that is technically generated nonetheless.

Server Log Files (Hosting)

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (San Francisco, USA). When you access the site, Vercel processes technically necessary access data (IP address, timestamp, user agent, referrer) for the operation and security of the website. Details: Vercel Privacy Policy.

Legal basis: overriding interest in the secure operation of the website (Art. 31 revDSG; for visitors from the EU, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data is not evaluated for profiling purposes.

localStorage (Local Browser Storage)

This website stores exclusively on your device (not on our servers):

You can delete this data at any time in your browser settings. No cookies are set that transmit data to third parties.

Third-Party Services

The video data (titles, descriptions, playlists) is not requested directly from your browser at YouTube, but server-side through our own proxy (/api/youtube). Your IP address is not transmitted to Google for this — only to our hosting provider (Vercel, see above).

Only the video thumbnails are loaded directly by your browser, from the YouTube image CDN i.ytimg.com (Google LLC, USA) — and for speed the vertical pages open an early connection to it (preconnect). Your IP address may be transmitted to Google in the process. Google Privacy Policy

Fonts (IBM Plex Mono/Sans) are self-hosted — no connection to Google Fonts is made.

Content is not directly embedded (no YouTube player in iFrame), only static thumbnails are loaded. When you click a video, you navigate to YouTube.

No Own Data Collection

Your Rights

Under Swiss DSG (Art. 25 ff.) and EU GDPR, you have the right to information, correction, deletion, and objection. We store no personal data about visitors to this site (see above). The publicly listed channels contain factual information about partly identifiable people (name, professional context) — processed on the basis of the legitimate interest in factual, publicly available industry information. This interest prevails because only already-public, profession-related details are processed and data subjects can request removal without comment at any time. Anyone who runs a listed channel can request correction or removal without comment at any time — a short email to kontakt@kurat.ch is enough.

Changes

This privacy policy may be adjusted in case of technical or legal changes. Last updated: 24 June 2026.
